<p>HGTV star Heather shared a series of snaps of Tristan looking all grown up as he attended a "drop in" day at a preschool on Wednesday, Aug. 6</p>
<p>The 37-year-old said she was "proud" of herself for she handled the big moment</p>

<p>On Wednesday, Aug. 6, HGTV star Heather, 37, shared an Instagram carousel of her and husband Tarek's 2-year-old son heading for a "drop in" day at a preschool.</p>
<p>While Heather — who is also stepmom to Taylor, 14, and 9-year-old Brayden, whom Tarek, 43, shares with his ex-wife, Christina Haack — clarified that Tristan wasn't ready for preschool just yet, she couldn't help but express how proud she was.</p>
<p>"My mama heart 🥹 My sweet boy had a "drop in" at the sweetest little preschool today," she wrote alongside a photo of Tristan appearing to hold up a matching school bag and lunch bag while sporting a blue T-shirt, black shorts and white sneakers with blue dolphins.</p>
<p>"Even though we are not ready for pre school just yet… I am so proud of him and so happy that he loved it so much," she continued. "And I'm proud of myself lol mama handled it well!"</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Heather joined in the photo fun as the post concluded with a clip of the Selling Sunset alum wrapping her arms around her little boy before planting a kiss on his cheek.</p>
<p>Many people of Heather's followers went on to share their shock at how much Tristan had grown in the comments section.</p>

<p>The milestone comes after Heather shared a relatable moment in July about what her Friday nights now look like compared to when she wasn't a mother.</p>
<p>Sharing a before and after in an Instagram Reel, Heather began the clip with herself and pals partying together before the clip switched to herself and Tristan cheersing as she drank wine and he ate a snack.</p>
<p>"Friday nights before kids," she wrote at the start of the video before ending it with "Friday nights now ..."</p>
<p>"Friday nights used to mean heels, dinner reservations, and another round of drinks…," Heather continued in her caption. "Now it's PJs by 7, a toddler dance party, and negotiating over bedtime snacks. 🍪🍼 Wouldn't trade it for anything. #MomLife #FridayNightsNow."</p>
