<p>The Green Bay Packers are dealing with an injury to their starting quarterback less than a month before the 2025 NFL season begins.</p>

<p>Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst announced Tuesday that Jordan Love is dealing with a "ligament issue" in his left thumb.</p>

<p>The quarterback had previously been spotted with his thumb taped up at Monday's practice. He did not miss any plays during the session, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.</p>

<p>Love will have surgery to fix his injured thumb. The surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.</p>

<p>Love isn't expected to be sidelined long by the injury. Gutekunst said the team is hoping he will return to practice next week, and the team expects the 26-year-old to be ready for Week 1.</p>

<p>"He shouldn't miss any regular-season time," Gutekunst said.</p>
