The Olympic bronze medalist is mulling future opportunities outside her sport, she told BBC Sport in an interview on Thursday, Aug. 21.

"I've been approached before by the WWE," Maher, 29, shared, and added that her ring name would be "Maher-vellous."

The Dancing with the Stars alum ventured further: "I don't know if I would [go into wrestling]. I should think about it, there is great money in it."

Maher is open to making a jump into the "acting space" too, she told the outlet.

"I think a Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, John Cena progression, I would love to do that," she said. "It would be exciting to see my body type on the screen. I'll start off small, probably like a hot assassin or something, let's not get too crazy. I'm not going to be in a rom-com just yet."

Maher's body-positive mentality and irreverent sense of humor has long been on display on social media.

In recent days on Instagram, the athlete has been focused on her upcoming debut in the Women's Rugby World Cup.

Earlier this week, she was named to the starting lineup for the United States' opening game against England on Friday, Aug. 22.

Sharing photos of herself in the team's uniform, Maher declared herself fit for action.

"Red, white, and a babe 🇺🇸" she wrote on Tuesday, Aug. 19 alongside a carousel of images.

In January, Maher told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview that she was ready to switch to a different rugby format.

"I think it's just good to get back into 15s because I've been playing Sevens for six years, so I wanted to go somewhere where I can really immerse myself and really see the game in that way and feel it out," she told PEOPLE at the time, on the eve of her debut in a three-month contract with the Bristol Bears, a Premiership Women's Rugby league team.

She added, "Because if I want to pursue this World Cup thing, I want to be the best player that Team USA needs or that they deserve."
