- Jensen Ackles & Jared Padalecki Reveal What They'd Erase from 'Supernatural'</p>

<p>Jensen Acklesand Jared Padalecki revealed which moments they'd be interested in deleting from their hit series,Supernatural, which aired for 15 seasons until 2020.</p>
<p>During a September 2025 interview with Entertainment Weekly, in celebration of the show's 20th anniversary, Ackles, who played demon hunter Dean Winchester, Padalecki, who played Dean's younger brother, Sam, and Misha Collins, who played angel Castiel, shared their thoughts about filming the beloved spooky show. When the castmates were asked to name a scene they would "like to erase" from the history of the series, Ackles was quick to respond. He shared he didn't like a scene from Season 13, Episode 23 ("Let the Good Times Roll"), wherein Dean fights in the air with Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino).</p>
<p>"That's easy for me. Fight scene with Lucifer. The marionette fight scene," said Ackles during the interview.</p>
<p>Collins then said there wasn't a particular scene that came to mind. Meanwhile, Padalecki suggested he didn't love Sam's grey hair, which showed that decades had passed in the show's finale.</p>
<p>"Oh! Okay, I got mine. The wig scene in the finale. That one wig was difficult," said Padalecki to the publication.</p>
<p>Ackles agreed with his castmate, stating, "Yes! [They] should have just put a bald cap on you and called it a day."</p>
<p>"Or something," replied theGilmore Girls star.</p>
<p>Jensen Ackles Said He Originally Didn't Love the Fate of His Character in 'Supernatural'</p>
<p>This isn't the first time that Ackles has voiced some criticism about his time on Supernatural. In a January 2022 interview on actor Michael Rosenbaum's podcast Inside of You, Ackles shared that he "didn't like" the script for the Supernatural finale when he first read it. He explained he took issue with Dean dying after a vampire fight.</p>
<p>"I always thought that if someone was going to go, it was going to be Sam. Honestly, as a kind of Martyr. And Dean would be left to stumble through the rest of his life," said Ackles during the podcast episode.</p>
<p>He also shared that he could have envisioned Sam and Dean dying at the same time.</p>
<p>The actor clarified that he eventually changed his mind about how Supernatural ended. Ackles explained that he reached out to the show's creator, Eric Kripke, who left Supernatural after Season 5, to discuss the finale.</p>
<p>"He ended up sending me this incredibly well-written email, explaining why he thought this was a great ending. And it put things in perspective for me. From then on, I was on board," said Ackles.</p>
