<p>Megan Moroney is over the moon!</p>

<p>The rising country star, 27, made history as the first winner of the Best Country award at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards on September 7 at the UBS Arena on Long Island, New York.</p>

<p>Moroney's hit 2024 song "Am I Okay?" earned the Georgia native her first ever VMA. The chart-topper is also the title track of her successful sophomore studio album.</p>

<p>The following day, the "Tennessee Orange" singer expressed her excitement in an Instagram post that showed the star posing with her "Moonman" trophy.</p>

<p>"A MOON MAN!!?!?!?!? @vmas @mtv i can't believe it omg thank you," she wrote.</p>

<p>The astronaut-themed trophy was perfect for Moroney, who included the hit song "Man on the Moon" on Am I Okay?</p>

<p>Fans took to the comments to congratulate Moroney on her iconic VMAs victory, with one writing, "OMGGG YESSSS."</p>

<p>On September 9, Moroney teased new music with a photo posted to her Instagram Story that showed her in the studio.</p>

<p>Fans who are subscribed to the "Mama I Lied" singer's text messages also received the photo, along with the message, "finishing touches."</p>

<p>The star released her latest single, "6 Months Later," on June 20, 2025. The popular track will be featured on her upcoming third studio album.</p>

<p>However, fans will have to hang tight for now, as Moroney is yet to announce her next album's title or release date.</p>

<p>The self-proclaimed "Emo Cowgirl" released Am I Okay? on July 12, 2024, before dropping the deluxe version that October.</p>

<p>Her debut studio album, Lucky, was released on May 5, 2023. It followed Moroney's Pistol Made of Roses EP, which hit the shelves on July 15, 2022.</p>

<p>The "Indifferent" singer is currently on her 2025 Am I Okay? Tour, which began on March 20 in Montreal, Québec, and will conclude on October 12 in Dallas, Texas.</p>
