<p>Megan Thee Stallion didn't attend this evening's MTV VMAs.</p>
<p>The rapper has been working on various television productions.</p>
<p>She has also been sharing more of her relationship with Klay Thompson.</p>
<p>On Sunday, Megan Thee Stallion was M.I.A. at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards. In 2024, the star hosted the ceremony, arriving on the red carpet in a custom black semi-sheer mermaid gown with a skirt from Nicole + Felicia. But this year, she was missed. She also wasn't nominated in any major categories.</p>

<p>The rapper has been very busy with various projects these days, like her first surprise appearance on Love Island.</p>
<p>In early August, it was announced that Megan would be headlining the Apple TV+ show KPOPPED, a music competition that later premiered on August 29.</p>
<p>The star has also been spending time with her new boyfriend, NBA champion Klay Thompson. In July, they attended the Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City, where she gushed about Thompson to Page Six.</p>
<p>"I have never dated somebody so kind," she said. "This is my first relationship where I've ever been with somebody who's genuinely a nice person, and he makes me genuinely happy."</p>
<p>She added, "I just never dated somebody like him before, and I'm just grateful that he's here by my side, and he feels the same way about me."</p>
<p>Last September, Megan outlined the distinction between who she is in private and who she is on stage in an interview with Billboard.</p>
<p>"I feel like Megan and Megan Thee Stallion are the same person," she said. "When I'm Megan Thee Stallion, I'm having to wear armor. I definitely got to go onstage and get in that mode, but I'm still the same person. Just when I'm not in public, I can really decompress and slouch, and I could watch anime all I want. I can play with my puppies, I can talk on the phone with my cousin, I could be with my best friends in peace. I don't have to worry about being too strong. I could just be me."</p>
