<p>James Corden shared with PEOPLE whether any of his three children — Max, Carey and Charlotte — have caught the acting bug yet</p>
<p>He noted that one of his children already shares his passion for the arts and theater</p>
<p>The actor, who shares his kids with wife Julia Carey, previously moved his family from L.A. to London after the end of his late night show in 2022</p>
<p>James Corden has big dreams for his three kids.</p>
<p>The 47-year-old actor said he isn't sure if his kids — Max, 13, Carey, 10, and Charlotte, 7, whom he shares with wife Julia Carey — have caught the acting bug yet, but he's excited to find out what the future holds for them.</p>
<p>"Maybe, we'll see," Corden told PEOPLE at the opening night of his new Broadway show ART. "They're a little young at the minute to figure it out, but we'll see."</p>
<p>The former Late Late Show host said he isn't concerned with what profession his children choose, as long as it's a path that brings them joy.</p>

<p>"I hope they find the thing that they love doing more than anything," he shared. "I don't really mind what that is so long as it's nothing to do with me in a sense, so I would love it if they find something that they're passionate about. It would be great."</p>
<p>However, it seems Corden may already have a kindred spirit in the family. He previously noted on Late Night with Seth Meyers in September that his 13-year-old son Max "loves going to the theater" and "loves all arts" — and that was still true today.</p>
<p>"He's always pretty passionate, and he just loves New York," the comedian added to PEOPLE. "... He's come back out for opening night [for ART]... He basically just refused to not be here. He just said, like, 'Guys, I'm coming.' So yeah, bless him."</p>
<p>However, the Smurfs star, has previously admitted that it was challenging traveling back and forth from London, where he moved after leaving his late night show in 2022, and New York City, where he was currently starring in a new Broadway play.</p>
<p>"It's hard, but very lucky we were here for the whole time of rehearsals and they'll be back out for a couple of weeks in October," he said. "I get to go home, actually, this weekend because I had something I was already booked to do before this arrived, so ... it's okay, we're getting through it."</p>
<p>Corden and Carey wed in 2012, one year after welcoming their son Max. They then had Carey and Charlotte in 2014 and 2017, respectively. The family previously moved to L.A. after Corden signed on as the new host of The Late Late Show in 2015, but the the "Carpool Karaoke" star eventually announced it was in his family's best interest to exit the show.</p>

<p>"My kids are getting older, their grandparents are getting older, and it perhaps just felt like the right time for us as a family to be freer in our decisions," Corden explained to Extra in 2022 of his decision to end the show and move back to London with his family.</p>
<p>That sam year, he expanded on this decision on The Drew Barrymore Show, saying that he wanted more time to spend with his three kids. He recalled a moment when he told his son Max that he had to work on a Sunday. The father of three recalled, "his face just kind of dropped."</p>
<p>"I got in the car and I called my wife Jules and I said, 'I've realized, best-case scenario we have six more summers where Max is like, even remotely wants to be around us and I cannot waste another one,' " he added.</p>
