<p>Joe Jonas revealed in a new interview that he's listened to "some" of ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift's album The Life of a Showgirl</p>
<p>Jonas said "there are some catchy melodies" in reference to Swift's 12th studio album</p>
<p>Jonas and Swift famously dated in the 2000s and broke up in 2008</p>
<p>Joe Jonas is sharing his thoughts on Taylor Swift's latest album, The Life of a Showgirl.</p>
<p>"I've heard some of it," Jonas, 36, told Esquire. "I think she's obviously the biggest artist out there."</p>
<p>Jonas had praise for Swift's 12th studio album, adding, "I think it's good. Everybody's got an opinion about it, but from what I've heard, there are some catchy melodies."</p>
<p>The Life of a Showgirl dropped on Oct. 3, and saw her reunited with reputation hitmakers Max Martin and Shellback as producers.</p>
<p>Jonas famously dated Swift, 35, in the 2000s. After their 2008 breakup, fans of the 14-time Grammy winner speculated that a number of her Fearless and Speak Now era hits reference Jonas, from "Forever and Always" and "Mr. Perfectly Fine" to "Better Than Revenge."</p>
<p>Following the breakup, Swift famously said on The Ellen Show, "It's all right, I'm cool you know what? It's like, when I find that person that is is right for me and he'll be wonderful and when I look at that person I'm not even going to be able to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18."</p>

<p>In the years since, Swift notably befriended Jonas' ex-wife Sophie Turner. In 2020, fans speculated that a line from Swift's folklore track "invisible string" referenced Jonas — only this time, about their friendship. "Cold was the steel of my axe to grind, for the boys who broke my heart. Now I send their babies presents," Swift sings in the song.</p>
<p>Jonas and Turner, 29, divorced in September 2024. Jonas filed for a dissolution of marriage from Turner on Sept. 5, 2023. According to documents obtained by PEOPLE, the filing claimed "the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken." A judge granted the divorce one year later. The former couple's relationship began in 2016.</p>

<p>Amid the divorce proceedings, Swift opened her New York City home to Turner and her daughters Willa and Delphine.</p>

<p>"Taylor was an absolute hero to me this year," the Do Revenge actress shared in her June 2024 British Vogue cover story. "I've never been more grateful to anyone than I am for her because she took my children and me and provided us with a home and a safe space."</p>
