<p>Leighton Meester teases the "drama" to come when she stars in season 2 of Nobody Wants This in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE</p>
<p>The actress is starring opposite her husband, Adam Brody, and playing Abby, a former middle school nemesis of Kristen Bell's character</p>
<p>Season 2 of Nobody Wants This will premiere on Netflix on Oct. 23</p>
<p>Leighton Meester is bringing the drama to season 2 of Nobody Wants This.</p>
<p>The actress and singer, 39, is playing Abby, a former middle school nemesis of Kristen Bell's character, and she will star opposite her husband, Adam Brody.</p>
<p>In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Meester — who has partnered with Godiva for a new campaign — teases her guest spot, saying, "I don't know what I can tell you, but I do inevitably stir up some drama there."</p>
<p>"Obviously, I am a huge fan of the show for many reasons, but I've been so lucky to get to know everybody involved, ... [and they've all] been so kind and welcoming," continues the Gossip Girl alum. "I was really taken by everybody's kindness and their talent, and how that whole show came together."</p>
<p>"I know that everyone has so much fun on it, and when I went on, I mean, it was one of the most fun times that I've had on a set," adds Meester, then giving a nod to Brody: "I also know somebody on it."</p>

<p>Nobody Wants This debuted on Netflix in September 2024. Starring Brody and Bell, both 45, the show follows the love story between Noah, a newly single rabbi, and Joanne, an agnostic sex podcaster, as they attempt to make their relationship work despite major cultural differences.</p>
<p>Netflix announced a month later in October that the show was renewed for a second season — a delight to fans after season 1's dramatic cliffhanger ending.</p>

<p>According to an official synopsis, season 2 of Nobody Wants This sees Joanne and Noah "fully committed to merging their lives – and loved ones — together."</p>
<p>"But their differences still exist and can't be ignored. The challenge now is not just falling in love against all odds, but staying together in spite of them," it continues.</p>

<p>In addition to Brody and Bell, most of Nobody Wants This' main cast will return for season 2, including Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, Jackie Tohn and Sherry Cola. Joining Meester in a new role is Miles Fowler.</p>
<p>At the 2025 Emmy Awards, Brody spoke exclusively with PEOPLE about his wife joining him on the show. (He was nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series category at the annual awards show.)</p>
<p>"The truth of the matter is, most of her scenes are with Justine [Lupe] and Kristen [Bell]," The O.C. alum said, referring to Meester, with whom he shares two children.</p>
<p>"So I got to kind of be a bystander and watch, which is even sometimes even more fun because I get to admire," he added.</p>
<p>Season 2 of Nobody Wants This will premiere on Oct. 23. Season 1 of the series is currently available to stream on Netflix.</p>
