<p>Tyra Banks' viral hot temperature ice cream has piqued the interest of social media, and now you may have the opportunity to try it.</p>
<p>Smize & Dream, an ice cream shop founded by the "America's Next Top Model" star, based in Sydney, Australia, is bringing its specialty dessert, dubbed "Hot Mama: Hot Ice Cream" to New York this winter.</p>
<p>According to a news release, the product is described as the "liquid version of your favorite ice cream scoop."</p>
<p>Smize & Dream has not announced a specific date for the hot ice cream to make its debut in the Big Apple, but "it will be a seasonal activation, not a permanent location," the shop told USA TODAY.</p>
<p>Banks, 51, did a pop-up in Washington, D.C. in 2024, even serving former Vice President Kamala Harris.</p>

<p>Banks' hot ice cream raised questions on social media</p>
<p>Banks went viral after sharing several videos of her ice cream concept, described as "the world's first HOT ice cream experience" in September.</p>
<p>The "Life-Size" star explained that she worked on developing the product for a year by "re-engineering traditional bases and rebalancing fats, sugars, and stabilizers to maintain that 'melt-on-the-tongue' sensation," according to the news release.</p>
<p>Her posts attracted a slew of commenters who raised questions and shared their two cents about the idea.</p>
<p>"Sooooo…. A warm milkshake?" a user said. Another person reacted: "me in some random person's kitchen at 4am." "So…melted ice cream in a cup?" a commenter wrote. One user referred to the ice cream as "hot milk."</p>
<p>In response, Banks said her dessert is not just melted ice cream, adding in the news release, "We tried that and a multitude of other simple techniques, and it doesn't work. It only worked when we got granular. And no, I won't tell you the recipe. But I will tell you it's damn good!"</p>

<p>Smize & Dream's first hot ice cream flavor was called "Tyra's Favorite." The dessert consisted of toasted pecans, salted cream and caramel butter and was available at the shop for only seven days, according to a Sept. 26 social media post.</p>
<p>She also recently announced a second hot ice cream option, "Fairy Dough Diva," which was available for a limited time.</p>
<p>According to the website, Banks created Smize & Dream as an ode to her mother, Carolyn London. The hot ice cream, specifically, Banks says, is "a tribute to mamas everywhere who give endlessly and deserve indulgence."</p>
