Brown didn't leave Philadelphia on the best of terms with Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. But Brown still wishes the best for Hurts, who is out for the season with multiple blood clots in his lungs.
" It's a tough situation , man," Brown said Tuesday, via Glenn Erby of USA Today. "I've got a lot of love and respect for him, praying for him. I didn't know how serious it was. I think all of us kind of found that out, but he's a tough guy. He's a tough guy, and he can handle anything. . . . He can handle it, and I pray God continue to keep his hand on him. It's a lot of love and respect from this way."
Hurts and Brown played together for four seasons before the Eagles honored the wide receiver's trade request on June 1.
Brown caught 339 passes for 5,034 yards and 32 touchdowns in his four seasons in Philadelphia, making two Pro Bowls and helping the Eagles win a Super Bowl.
Once close, they did not speak after the trade until a joint practice in August.
