Yahoo Fantasy houses some of the leading analysts in the industry, and we were fortunate enough to get all of them in a league for the 2026 NFL season. To keep you up to date on things, we'll be providing weekly recaps on all the action. Let's get into it.
Here's a quick look at what the standings are after the sixth week of the season:
Here's a look at the Yahoo expert league standings after Week 6
We'll get to the new top dog in the expert league in a bit, but first let's recap a close matchup that trickled into Monday Night Football. Yahoo analyst Matt Harmon held a decent lead over Max Loeb going into 49ers-Commanders on Monday. But unfortunately, Harmon was going up against a hammer in the form of Christian McCaffrey.
CMC would carry the San Francisco offense, accounting for 117 total yards, nine catches and two touchdowns for 26.2 fantasy points. That score helped lift Loeb to the victory, 109.7-101.12. He moved to 4-2 on the season, while Harmon also dropped to 4-2 and fifth place.
Justin Boone quietly stayed hot on a four-game winning streak in the league. Solid games from Drake Maye, Jonathan Taylor and George Kittle helped Boone take down Joel Smyth to improve to 4-1-1 on the season. Smyth was one of many victims of the Giants' running back situation as Cam Skattebo was effectively benched in Week 6's loss to the Saints. That goose egg proved costly, among other down performances for Smyth's roster.
In the Battle for Podcast Host Supremacy, Hayden Winks was able to easily defeat his buddy Josh Norris 137.40-90.28 in their Week 6 bout and move into first place in the league at 5-1. Winks was comfortably in the driver's seat going into MNF, then added another 35.1 fantasy points from Jayden Daniels, Mike Evans and Terry McLaurin. That number could have been much higher had the two receivers not gone down with injury.
Between injuries and byes, Josh was without Saquon Barkley, Breece Hall, Tee Higgins and Sam LaPorta, but Hayden had very little sympathy considering what his team has faced this season.
Now with the two receivers going down ( McLaurin for the season , Evans short-term), Winks only has Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Garrett Wilson and Marvin Harrison Jr. left at wide receiver. It's safe to say he'll be active on the waiver wire going into Week 7. But Winks also has Josh Jacobs' potential return in his back pocket, plus Jeremiyah Love on the mend.
After weeks of finding ways to keep winning, the other shoe finally dropped for Scott Pianowski in Week 6. He suffered his first loss in the expert league, falling to Eric Froton 122.88-78.16. Pianowski had said the writing was already on the wall for his team, which was benefiting from the lowest points against in the league.

Due to injuries and bye weeks, Pianowski was forced to go double-TE with Juwan Johnson and Tyler Higbee (in the flex). Johnson put up a zero and Higbee underperformed for the Rams in a smash spot. TreVeyon Henderson was able to play despite a high-ankle sprain, though he was ineffective. Kyren Williams also didn't come through in his prime matchup against the Cardinals. Froton got strong performances throughout, carried primarily by Kyle Pitts Sr. and Bhayshul Tuten, each of whom scored twice.
Shoutout to Dan Titus, who was able to pick up his first win of the season in the expert league. He got enough out of his roster to knock off Ray Garvin even with Ja'Marr Chase on bye, thanks in part to 30 fantasy points combined from Dameon Pierce and DeVonta Smith.
Here are the full Week 6 results, plus a quick look ahead to Week 7's matchups. We have a top battle between Harmon and Winks on tap.
