According to an upcoming book by royals reporter Russell Myers, titledWilliam and Catherine, thelate monarchused the opportunity to warn her about "headstrong husbands" before her marriage to the Prince of Wales.

"During the light buffet of tea and finger sandwiches, the Queen eschewed questions about the finer details of the production and instead looked to comfort the young woman she hoped would successfully shape the institution for the next generation," Myers wrote.

She also shared "words of encouragement" with Middleton, advising her on how to "deal with 'headstrong' husbands."

Queen Elizabeth reportedly urged Middleton "to not get too bogged down with the details of the guest list, telling her not to worry about how many people would be there," Myers added.

Nearly 2,000 guests witnessed the couple's 2011 nuptials—not to mention the millions who watched on television.

"There were many she wouldn't know and many she wouldn't see again," Queen Elizabeth suggested, according to Myers.

As reported byInStylelast week, the Queen's former chef once revealed the common dish she abstained from.

"In the years that I cooked at [Buckingham] palace, the Queen never had pizza," Darren McGrady toldUs Weeklyin 2020.

"I didn't start cooking pizza until I moved across to Kensington Palace," he explained, referencing the former home of Princess Diana and her sons, Princes William and Harry.

"I [made] pizza all the time for William," McGrady said. "In my second cookbook,The Royal Chef at Home, there's a chicken tikka masala pizza [recipe] because he loves Indian food. The pizza combined the two."

Pizza remains a staple for Prince William and his wife, as well as their three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis.

"I really enjoy making pizza dough with George and Charlotte because they like getting their hands messy," the Princess of Walessharedin 2018.
