Kittens don’t need much encouragement to turn an ordinary afternoon into a grand adventure, perfect for kittens with boundless energy. All you need to do is give them something new to climb, a few interesting places to explore, and their favorite siblings to share the experience with, and they’ve built their own fun play world.
In this video, a crew of Ragdoll kitten explorers embarks on an afternoon of play, setting sail on their very own pirate ship. And it’s so adorable. Take a look!
On October 22, TikTok user @pearlsragdolls shared a video of a group of incredibly adorable Ragdoll kittens exploring something they’ve never seen before. A new, but adorable pirate ship in their kitten area is giving this litter of kittens the perfect play space to not only keep them engaged, exercising, and entertained, but it’s bringing giggles to the thousands of people who have been watching the clip on repeat.

Why Kittens Love Climbing and Exploring New Spaces
I could sit here and watch kittens play for hours and be fully entertained. Seeing them climb and explore new spaces always looks like they’re having the best time. And per the experts, this is 100% typical kitten behavior.
According to PetMD, climbing and exploring, especially new heights, is something very typical for kittens. It’s a throwback to their predator-prey instincts, even if they’ll be indoor cats forever. The site explains that climbing to higher spaces helps them keep an eye on their surroundings, which would typically keep them safe if they were wild cats. They’re not, though, but that curiosity and play instinct stays no matter what, and that’s why indoor cats love to explore and climb.
Kittens, whether they’re climbing on a tall cat tree or exploring a new pirate ship, will make playtime out of anything. And we will watch it every time.
